A CARAVAN OF FRIENDSHIP, HUMANITY AND TOLERANCE VISITS CROWN PRINCESS KATHERINE

Belgrade, 15 August 2008 – Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine hosted today a reception for the participants of the Second Caravan of Friendship, Humanity and Tolerance at The Royal Palace.

The Caravan of friendship gathered more than 60 children from families in Serbia that are socially deprived. The mission of the Caravan is to spread good will and to gather people who are representing children’s interests, stimulate children’s and youth active participation in social environment through joint actions of children, youth and adults.

Crown Princess Katherine addressed the children and wished them to continue this wonderful action and gave them presents prepared by the HRH Crown Princess Katherine Foundation. The children also had the opportunity to tour through the Royal Compound and to be introduced with the cultural and historical heritage of the Compound and Karadjordjevic Royal Family.

This project is organized by the Office for New Belgrade Youth, Balkan Integration Centre, Friends of Children from New Belgrade and Zemun, CRID – Campaign All Different All Equal and Non governmental Organization Mozaik.
